Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Council
Held on 16th July 2008 at 7.30pm

Mr D Barritt proposed and Mrs Fran Jack seconded that the minutes of the last meeting were a true and accurate record.
Clerk asked if anyone had anything to declare under the model code of conduct rules. No interests were registered.
Accounts Update Clerk advised they had received the compensation of £937 from AW for the parish field. Clerk asked if she could pay this years insurance at a cost of £205 FJ and FL proposed and seconded.
Letters Brington and Molesworth PC wrote to request assistance paying the legal bill for the campaign to prevent the travellers’ site; councillors approved £300 and asked the clerk to write a letter, DT and FJ approved and seconded.
OW Village Hall Committee requests assistance to pay the maintenance costs for the upkeep they have spent in excess of £4000 recently on damp course and painting. After discussion £3000 was approved FJ and FL Proposed and seconded.
Citizens advice wrote to requests funds for its ongoing work in the community again discussion was had and a donation of £250 was approved, FL and DT.
Minutes from the airbase were read out JT stated he could assist DT attending meetings now he has more time. Next meeting in Jan 09.
Web site Clerk showed some printed pages of the initial site, she explained this was work in progress that the PC section was being worked on and would be live soon. Due to exchange rates the site had cost an extra £10 DT and DB approved payment to Carol Leather, they also approved a further £15 for a prize money for a quiz to be held in the near future on the site.
Matters Arising Village hall committee had asked why the PC does not pay for rental of the village hall, clerk explained to the VHC that the PC works on behalf of the village and therefore is not charged to use the hall.
Vote of thanks to John Dent and his small team of grass cutters the graveyard has not looked so good for years. Clerk was asked to write and thank John.
