(Old Weston)
We moved to Old Weston from High Holborn Farm, near Fotheringay, in September 1934. The transport then was horse and cart, bicycle or Shank's Pony.
We've lots of stories about the village and it's characters through the years.
We used to have a billy goat with a fine set of horns and an uncertain temper. We were bringing some cattle up from the Church Field when he took a dislike to someone on a bike. They came to a very sudden stop when he stuck his horns through the spokes of the back wheel. Lift-off was achieved!!
