A bird in the pan is worth two in the bush

My pretty visitor

My pretty visitor

This little bird flew into my kitchen one Sunday morning after breakfast last year. It landed on the frying pan!

I was praying that it was not still hot.

It did not seem to want to leave, so I gently carried the pan outside and put it on the wall. Eventually it flew off.

I don't know what kind of bird it was, but I thought it was very pretty.

I still wonder if it fancied some bacon and eggs or if it was just being nosey?

Ahhh, what a sweet visitor!

I'm not an expert on birds, Maggie, but I think your little visitor may have been a female or juvenile Robin.
